The Morton Grove Park District is dedicated to following
CDC, CCDPH, and IDPH guidelines.

January 1, 2022   Update of Vaccine Requirement

The Morton Grove Park District is updating its vaccine requirement after receiving clarification from Cook County on its Mitigation Order 2021-11.

Beginning Monday, January 3, all Morton Grove Park District facilities will be required to check the vaccination status of patrons and program participants, individuals 19 years and older. Only those who are fully-vaccinated will be allowed entry to district facilities. For individuals age 2 and older, masks continue to be required per Mitigation Order 2021-10. This order requires tight knit fabric or medical masks that fit snuggly to cover the nose and the mouth. Face shields and plastic face masks will not be permitted.

Based on CDC guidelines, an individual is considered fully vaccinated:
• Two weeks after their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
• Two weeks after Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
Boosters are not required at this time, but are highly encouraged if eligible.

 Valid Forms of Verification
• Vaccination card
• Photocopy of vaccination card
• Digital record or app
• Printed record from vaccine provider

For all patrons 18 and older:
• Photo ID is also required

Patrons who are medically unable to receive a vaccination will be required to show proof of exemption from a medical provider AND a negative COVID test taken within 24 hours of visiting the facility. Rapid and PCR test results will be accepted, but home tests will not be accepted.

As we implement this change, you may experience wait times for entry and delays. Please plan for additional time to enter and be patient with staff who are verifying vaccination information at entry.

The safety of our community is important to us. We continuously monitor and follow the guidelines and mandates of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), (CCDPH), and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The Mask Mandate for Cook County is now in effect. For more information or to see the complete mandate, visit the CCDPH website.

FACEMASKS are required at all Morton Grove Park District indoor facilities.
> Any individual aged two and older who can medically tolerate a mask shall be required to wear a mask when indoors in a public place, regardless of vaccination status.
> This order includes all indoor public spaces.
> Mask refers to a complete and tight-knit fabric or cloth or medical mask that is appropriately sized for the individual’s face to snuggly cover the nasal openings and mouth without the necessity of being held in place by the individual’s hands.

July 30, 2021
The CDC recently announced new guidelines regarding masks.
“All individuals, including fully vaccinated individuals, should wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission.”
The Morton Grove District is following all CDC recommendations. Currently, Cook County is at a substantial transmission rate, meaning that masks are now recommended at all indoor facilities whether persons are vaccinated or not.
