Morton Grove Park District is accepting applications to fill a vacant seat on its Board of Park Commissioners. The candidate selected will finish the remaining term of Commissioner Steve Schmidt, who is resigning effective June 28, 2024. The Board will now move to appoint a new commissioner to fill the vacancy, with the newly appointed commissioner serving for approximately eight months until the April 2025 election.

The Board of Commissioners performs a valuable and necessary service in ensuring a sound Park District. The members of the Board provide this service without monetary compensation and require at least one Wednesday night meeting a month.
